Alcudia, a city rich in history, had the honor of hosting the Emperor Charles I of Españay V of Germany. Early in his reign, the Germania nobility rose against Valencia and Mallorca. Alcudia remained loyal to the emperor and nobles found asylum behind its walls.

Carlos V heaped honors and privileges to the "most faithful city" and wanted to honor with his presence on the trip to Tunisia on the occasion of the expedition against the pirate Barbarossa. On 4 June 1535 landed in the harbor and stayed in the house of Rev.. Jerome Moragues, at San Vicente, whose family crest is shown in the door today.

Over the centuries, the house passed to the Costa family of Pollensa, from which it takes its current name: "Can Costa". It spent much of his time the great poet Miguel Costa and Llobera, glory of Catalan literature. It is now in the hands of a Majorcan family who jealously preserved the memories of such illustrious residents and offers the public the chance to know this place historical double at the same time a taste your food selected and careful.
